A 40 Day Immersion

in the Goodness of

Our Father's Kingdom

Whoever desires a 40 Day Experience with God

The following scriptures carry the GoodNews. We trust that you will receive that which the Father has gladly placed within you. Take 40 days to meditate upon what is indicated for that day. Space is provided to remind you to listen to what God speaks to you personally as you ponder the passage. Sin = unbelief; sins = thoughts, attitudes, behaviors coming from unbelief. Belief = righteousness. When you get to Day 26 please remember reading each book is no longer than watching a movie or spending an evening with electronic devices. Read it in one sitting and allow the Holy Spirit to show you His perfect "movie" in your mind.

Read this passage every day.

Genesis 1:26
26. Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
27. And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
28. And God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
29. Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;
30. and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, {I have given} every green plant for food "; and it was so.
31. And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

Now turn to the daily passage to read and enter into a relationship with your Creator. Listen/record/relate reminds you to keep your own journal: words, drawings, etc. of what your Triune Creator is revealing to you. Day 1

John 1:9
9. There was the true light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.
10. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
11. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.
12. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, {even} to those who believe in His name,
13. who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Day 2

Romans 1:18
18. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19. because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
20. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
21. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God, or give thanks; but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22. Professing to be wise, they became fools,
23. and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.

Day 3

John 16:7
7. "But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper shall not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.
8. And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin, and righteousness, and judgment;
9. concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me;
10. and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you no longer behold Me;
11. and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged."

Day 4

Romans 14:17
17. for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
18. For he who in this {way} serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men.

Day 5

John 3:3
3. Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Day 6

John 3:5
5. Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Day 7

Matthew 19:23
23. And Jesus said to His disciples, "Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
25. And when the disciples heard {this,} they were very astonished and said, "Then who can be saved?"
26. And looking upon {them} Jesus said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Day 8

John 3:14
14. "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
15. that whoever believes may in Him have eternal life."

Day 9

John 1:29
29. The next day he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Day 10

Mark 15:34
34. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" which is translated, "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?"

Day 11

Hebrews 10:19
19. Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
20. by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,
21. and since {we have} a great priest over the house of God,
22. let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled {clean} from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
23. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;
24. and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
25. not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging {one another}; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.

Day 12

John 3:18
18. "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19. And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil."

Day 13

John 7:38
38. "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.'"

Day 14

Mark 16:16
16. "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
17. And these signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues;
18. they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly {poison,} it shall not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
19. So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
20. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed.] [{And they promptly reported all these instructions to Peter and his companions. And after that, Jesus Himself sent out through them from east to west the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation.}]

Day 15

Hebrews 2:14
14. Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15. and might deliver those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.

Day 16

Acts 10:38
38. "{You know of} Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and {how} He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him.
39. And we are witnesses of all the things He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. And they also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross.
40. God raised Him up on the third day, and granted that He should become visible,
41. not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen beforehand by God, {that is,} to us, who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead.
42. And He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead.
43. Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins."

Day 17

Hebrews 3:12
12. Take care, brethren, lest there should be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart, in falling away from the living God.
13. But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is {still} called "Today," lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

Day 18

Hebrews 7:25
25. Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Day 19

Hebrews 11:6
6. And without faith it is impossible to please {Him}, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and {that} He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Day 20

Romans 12:3
3. For through the grace given to me I say to every man among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.

Day 21

I John 4:15
15. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
16. And we have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
17. By this, love is perfected with us, that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.
18. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.
19. We love, because He first loved us.

Notes
Day 22

I John 5:7
7. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
8. For there are three that bear witness, the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
9. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for the witness of God is this, that He has borne witness concerning His Son.
10. The one who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness that God has borne concerning His Son.
11. And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
12. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

Day 23

Romans 10:4
4. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Day 24

Romans 10:6
6. But the righteousness based on faith speaks thus, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?' (that is, to bring Christ down),
7. or 'Who will descend into the abyss?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). "
8. But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart"-- that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
9. that if you confess with your mouth Jesus {as} Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;
10. for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
11. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed."
12. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same {Lord} is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call upon Him;
13. for "Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved."

Day 25

II Corinthians 13:5
5. Test yourselves {to see} if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you-- unless indeed you fail the test?

Day 26

Read the Book of John in one sitting - 21 chapters. Day 27

Read the Book of Mark in one sitting - 16 chapters. Day 28

Read the Book of Matthew in one sitting - 28 chapters. Day 29

Read the Book of Luke in one sitting - 24 chapters. Day 30

Romans 12:1
1. I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, {which is} your spiritual service of worship.
2. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Spend the day in thanksgiving, praise and worship for what Your Heavenly Father has done in you through the blood of Jesus Christ. Do so now and each day and forever.
Remaining in Faith

May the following scriptures help you to be and remain a "believer" so that your whole household may be saved from this evil and perverted generation.

Day 32 Lamb of God - Old Testament

Exodus 12:3
3. "'Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, 'On the tenth of this month they are each one to take a lamb for themselves, according to their fathers' households, a lamb for each household.'"

Exodus 12:6
6. "'And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month, then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel is to kill it at twilight.

Exodus 12:7
7. Moreover, they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses in which they eat it.'"

Exodus 12:13
13. "'And the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy {you} when I strike the land of Egypt.'"

Day 33 A Scarlet Thread

Joshua 2:12
12. "'Now therefore, please swear to me by the Lord, since I have dealt kindly with you, that you also will deal kindly with my father's household, and give me a pledge of truth,
13. and spare my father and my mother and my brothers and my sisters, with all who belong to them, and deliver our lives from death.'"

Joshua 2:17
17. The men said to her, "We shall be free from this oath to you which you have made us swear,
18. unless, when we come into the land, you tie this cord of scarlet thread in the window through which you let us down, and gather to yourself into the house your father and your mother and your brothers and all your father's household.'"

Joshua 6:22
22. Joshua said to the two men who had spied out the land, "Go into the harlot's house and bring the woman and all she has out of there, as you have sworn to her."
23. So the young men who were spies went in and brought out Rahab and her father and her mother and her brothers and all she had; they also brought out all her relatives and placed them outside the camp of Israel.
24. They burned the city with fire, and all that was in it. Only the silver and gold, and articles of bronze and iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord.
25. However, Rahab the harlot and her father's household and all she had, Joshua spared; and she has lived in the midst of Israel to this day, for she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

Day 34 Lamb of God - New Testament

John 1:29
29. The next day he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!"

John 1:35
35. Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples,
36. and he looked upon Jesus as He walked, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God!"
37. And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

Revelation 5:6
6. And I saw between the throne (with the four living creatures) and the elders a Lamb standing, as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth.

Revelation 7:9
9. After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation and {all} tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches {were} in their hands;
10. and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."
11. And all the angels were standing around the throne and {around} the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,
12. saying, "Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, {be} to our God forever and ever. Amen."
13. And one of the elders answered, saying to me, "These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and from where have they come?"
14. And I said to him, "My lord, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15. For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne shall spread His tabernacle over them.
16. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun beat down on them, nor any heat;
17. for the Lamb in the center of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them to springs of the water of life; and God shall wipe every tear from their eyes."

Day 35

Revelation 12:10
10. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.
11. "And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death."

Revelation 17:14
14. "These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him {are the} called and chosen and faithful."

Revelation 19:5
5. And a voice came from the throne, saying, "Give praise to our God, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great."
6. And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude and as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.
7. Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready."
8. And it was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright {and} clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
9. And he said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he said to me, "These are true words of God."

Day 36

Revelation 22:1
1. And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb,
2. in the middle of its street. And on either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve {kinds of} fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3. And there shall no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His bond-servants shall serve Him;
4. and they shall see His face, and His name {shall be} on their foreheads.
5. And there shall no longer be {any} night; and they shall not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall illumine them; and they shall reign forever and ever.

One Lamb for a whole household

The following scriptures reveal one who believed and his or her whole household believed.
Day 37 A Man Before the Cross - a rich tax collector

Luke 19:1
1. He entered Jericho and was passing through.
2. And there was a man called by the name of Zaccheus; he was a chief tax collector and he was rich.
3. Zaccheus was trying to see who Jesus was, and was unable because of the crowd, for he was small in stature.
4. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass through that way.
5. When Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, "Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house."
6. And he hurried and came down and received Him gladly.
7. When they saw it, they all began to grumble, saying, "He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a sinner."
8. Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord, "Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I will give to the poor, and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will give back four times as much."
9. And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he, too, is a son of Abraham.
10. For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."

Day 38 A Man Before the Cross - a civil servant

John 4:46
46. He came therefore again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain royal official, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47. When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him, and was requesting {Him} to come down and heal his son; for he was at the point of death.
48. Jesus therefore said to him, "Unless you {people} see signs and wonders, you {simply} will not believe."
49. The royal official *said to Him, "Sir, come down before my child dies."
50. Jesus *said to him, "Go your way; your son lives." The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he started off.
51. And as he was now going down, {his} slaves met him, saying that his son was living.
52. So he inquired of them the hour when he began to get better. They said therefore to him, "Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him."
53. So the father knew that {it was} at that hour in which Jesus said to him, "Your son lives"; and he himself believed, and his whole household.
54. This is again a second sign that Jesus performed, when He had come out of Judea into Galilee.

Day 39 A Gentile Man After the Resurrection - a Roman military officer

Acts 11:9
9. "But a voice from heaven answered a second time, 'What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy.'
10. And this happened three times, and everything was drawn back up into the sky.
11. And behold, at that moment three men appeared before the house in which we were {staying,} having been sent to me from Caesarea.
12. And the Spirit told me to go with them without misgivings. And these six brethren also went with me, and we entered the man's house.
13. And he reported to us how he had seen the angel standing in his house, and saying, 'Send to Joppa, and have Simon, who is also called Peter, brought here;
14. and he shall speak words to you by which you will be saved, you and all your household. '
15. And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, just as {He did} upon us at the beginning.
16. And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, 'John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'
17. If God therefore gave to them the same gift as {He gave} to us also after believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand in God's way?'"
18. And when they heard this, they quieted down, and glorified God, saying, "Well then, God has granted to the Gentiles also the repentance {that leads} to life."

Day 40 A Woman After the Resurrection - a fabric retailer

Acts 16:13-34
13. And on the Sabbath day we went outside the gate to a riverside, where we were supposing that there would be a place of prayer; and we sat down and began speaking to the women who had assembled.
14. And a certain woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple fabrics, a worshiper of God, was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul.
15. And when she and her household had been baptized, she urged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay." And she prevailed upon us.

A Man After the Resurrection - a local jailer

Acts 16:31
31. And they said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household."

A Man After the Resurrection - a religious leader

Acts 18:8
8. And Crispus, the leader of the synagogue, believed in the Lord with all his household, and many of the Corinthians when they heard were believing and being baptized.
